How to Use Your Paid Membership
Everything you need to know about your access, credits, and community.
TL;DR
2 consulting credits/year — Book via Calendly, 2 days advance notice, expires at renewal
Monthly group calls — Substack Live, recordings available if you miss it
Community access — Forum, chat, DM (I respond personally)
Behind-the-scenes posts — Monthly, unfiltered updates on building business
Expensing it? — Template below, $800 in credits for $497 membership = easy approval
1. Your Consulting Credits
You have 2 consulting credits per year, each worth $400 at my standard rate
What to use them for:
Strategic questions about measurement, incrementality, or causal frameworks
Career decisions (going independent, negotiating roles, positioning expertise)
Thinking through a specific challenge where you need a second brain
Anything else where 60 minutes of focused discussion would help
How to book:
Use the Calendly link below
Select an available slot (minimum 2 days in advance)
Include a brief note on what you want to discuss
→ [Book a call] [Calendly link]
Credit details:
1 credit = 1 call (up to 60 minutes)
Credits expire at your annual renewal date
Non-transferable, no rollover
My EA manages scheduling — you’ll receive confirmation within 24 hours
2. Monthly Group Calls
Live sessions via Substack Live, typically 30 minutes.
Format:
10 minutes: I share one insight, update, or lesson from the month
20 minutes: Open discussion, Q&A, whatever the group wants to explore
Schedule:
First call: [DATE TBD]
Recurring: [DAY] of each month at [TIME]
Can’t make it live? Every call is recorded and posted here with a short written summary. You won’t miss anything.
3. Community Access
As a Paid member, you have access to:
Forum: Post questions, share wins, start discussions. I check in regularly.
Chat: Real-time conversations with other members.
Direct Message: You can DM me directly on Substack. I respond personally, usually within 24-48 hours.
This community is small by design. Everyone here is a practitioner navigating measurement, causal thinking, or the path from expertise to independence.
4. Behind-the-Scenes Content
Once a month, I publish a paid member-only post sharing what’s actually happening:
Revenue updates and business milestones
What I’m testing, what’s working, what failed
Strategic decisions and the thinking behind them
Lessons I’m learning in real-time
No polish. No “thought leadership.” Just documentation of building something new.
5. Expensing Your Membership
Most Founder members expense this through corporate L&D or professional development budgets.
I’ve prepared a template that makes approval easy:
→ [Download Expense Letter Template]
The short version: your membership includes $800 in consulting credits for $497. The ROI math writes itself.
Questions?
DM me on Substack or reply to any email. I’m accessible — that’s the point.
Welcome to the inside.
